One person closes the browser session. Another gets the outcome, sources, exceptions, and restore path in the tools they already use.
Agree on defaults
Set organization rules for pinned, audible, editable, transactional, private, and unsupported tabs without hiding them from the user. Being the current tab alone is not a risk signal.
Manage the extension
Provide deployment guidance, version visibility, provider configuration, and support for approved browser environments.
A receipt in the existing flow
Send the decision, not the tab pile.
A PM can attach a Markdown receipt to Linear. A researcher can put cited JSON in a repository. A designer can share the four live exceptions instead of a 43-link dump.
- Export without requiring every recipient to install Tab Checkout.
- Redact sensitive URLs and titles before sharing.
- Check the payload and linked snapshot for internal consistency.
- Preserve unresolved questions, not only the polished conclusion.
